TUESDAY THROWDOWN

It's time for team B's Challenge this week. The theme for this weeks
 challenge is Family Christmas
Our generous Sponsor is Stamping Boutique and I have used their Birds and Stockings Image.
Doesnt this cute little image make you think of family all hanging out together!!
After coloring I added some background and plenty of sparkle on the stocking
cuffs and the ground around the poles. After cutting out I used some
SU Kraft to mat it on. The pretty sparkly dp is from my friend Martha.
Matted the MFP sentiment on a darker brown and added to star
button for a bit of a homespun look.
Lots of pretty inspiration from my teammates this week so stop
over and join our challenge this week.

Good Morning Friends....

Today at Friends of Speedy TV we are challenging you to
 use Blue & Silver.
Get you mojo stirring and come join the fun. I needed a few more Christmas Cards
so I have two  simple ones to share with you today. I tell you I took a bucket load
of photos and just couldnt get the silver to show up right and the
blues look totally different in person, better that is! Oh well you will
get the general idea!! The Snowflake and Joy
were embossed with silver. The image is from the Snowflake Set 2014 and
Joy from the Presents Set. The dark blue is stitched in silver and a silver ribbon
added. How about that embossed border, I love it!!
. My sweet friend Martha sent
me a Huge box full of all kinds of paper and papercrafting goodies for
my birthday, and this was one of the folders!

The second card uses the Poinsettia from the Poinsettia Blooms Set
stamped twice on vellum, embossed with silver and cut out. I then colored
the poinsettias blue which doesnt show! The layers are foam dotted onto the
Spellbinder cut base. The dp is edged with silver Stickles.
Merry Christmas from the same set is embossed also.

Be sure to stop by and see all the lovely creations my teams have made!!

Friday....

Hope you all had a Super Thanksgiving!
We enjoyed ours with some of our family. Today starts a new TTSTV Challenge
and it is water coloring with Gelatos. This is my first time using them.
My small starter set only had 8 colors and purple isnt one of them so
had to mix some up. I used them for the background swirling purples
and aquas together on water color paper. It was stitched onto some
Stampin Up purple. I love the lantern image from the Poinsettia Set. Colored
with the Gelatos, cut out and foam dotted on the base.
The Sentiment  is also from the Poinsettia Set added and a
 simple Christmas card is done!

Friends of Speedy TV

has a fun challenge this week, a Double Dutch card.
I'v never made one, how about you?
You can find easy instructions on the internet.

Since Christmas is just around the corner I made a Christmas card.
I used several different images. The snowflake images are from the Snowflakes Set, the
snowmen are from the Set and the sentiments are three different sets. I stamped
and embossed the snowflakes and snow inside and out. Although it doesnt show the
snowflakes are shimmery from the glitter I added.  Next I stamped, colored and
cut out the snowmen.
The snowflake is two layers foam dotted on and a button added.
The Sentiment from the Your're An Angel Set
stamped and was embossed with a snowflake folder.

The scene when you lift the top door is made with some torn some paper
to create the snow to put my little snowman  and tree on.The sentiment and snowmen are from the Please Let It Snow Set.
The sentiment was embossed along with the sprinkling of snow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Please Snow Set and cut the edge with a Martha Stewart
Snowflake punch.Inside the doors the snowflake was embossed and the little
snowman from the Christmas Selection Set was stamped colored and embossed with a Dotted Swiss
folder. The Sentiment if from the  You're An Angel Set also embossed with the Dotted Swiss folder.

My FOSTV teamies have Really cool cards,
you will want to stop by and check them out!!

Friday is here...

And that means it is time for Tutorial Time with Speedy TV.
Today our tutorial is brought to us by Lois Bak. We are making wreaths
from punched pieces. I decided to stray a bit from using leaves or branches and
used different snowflakes and stars for mine. After using a couple different
Marvy, Martha Stewart and Punch Bunch punches I punched my pieces fromt
non traditional colors of peach and aqua and
then added some glimmer to them with Stickles.
A couple buttons, crystals and a bow finish my wreath off.
The background was embossed with snowflakes
and the wreath attached. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Blooms Set.
All was matted onto a piece of peach SU card stock.
My teammates have lots of beautiful ideas for you, so stop by and join out Challenge.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Today....

Team B's turn and we are challenging you to used Swirls and Pearls. Our Sponsor is Sweet & Sassy and they have generously supplied us with images.

I have used Sweet Cocoa colored and cut out! Isn't just the cutest little image, perfect for Christmas. Decided I had better get started on Christmas cards since it is just around the corner LOL!! I embossed my background with a  Swirls folder and added pearls to some of the swirls. In the pic the pearls look almost like a bead but really they are pearls!! The dp was a scrap that I wacked on an angle and stitched on. The perfect mat for my sweet little image. I actually used foam dots for the top part of the cup so as to give it more of a cup like dimension. Decided I would leave to front clean and add the sentiment on the inside.

I wasn't terribly creative I went for easy so flowers were the ticket. I had some soft floral dp for a background to stitch onto the aqua and then added a little piece of embossed picket fencing. The sentiment is from the Today Tomorrow and Always Set.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Its starting to cool off here so we finished getting out garden in this weekend.
So on to our Challenge....it is to use have a moving part. I started several different things and I just didnt like any of it SO my moving part is a bit of fudging LOL!!
I have used the Fairy images cut out and colored.
I used a couple pieces of Lost & Found dp, a little stitching and the sentiment from the same Fairy Set. The edge was added using a MS Arches punch. The stamped postage is from the All Postal Set.

For the inside I had a piece of dp with fairies on it to use. The top and bottom was added using the MS Arches punch again. A Spellbinder Scalloped Oval punch out so you are able to see the postal dp and the sentiment stamped from the Bring On The Sun Set. I stamped out the small fairy in brown, cut out and perched on the top and the larger one on the other side. I took a little liberty and added long hair to each of the fairies and a little floral garland on this one also. The moving part is when you open the card the center pops out!!

A little closer up to see the sweet fairy.
We would be delighted for you to stop by and join our Challenge this week!! My talented teammates all have different ideas for you to use for the moving parts.

A round red cut in half layered over a black oval and then two different hole punches for the dots.I used white paint for the eyes A few Spellbinder layered flowers and viola there you go. Tuesday Throwdown Challenge

Today our B team is challenging you to make a card representing Awarenss! I work for and Optometrist/Ophthalmologist and October is Eye Care Awareness  so my card is representative of that.
Our Sponsor is BUGABOO and my image is Knobby Knees Vacation Girl.
I just returned Sunday night from a trip to Hawaii to visit my daughter and family. This card was for them before I got there, AND Im so thankful that I was able to see them and all the beauty Hawaii had to offer.
Just a little plug for the importance of regular eye exams! It isnt all about if you need glasses or not. A good eye health check can detect vision/ health issues because your eyes are truly a window that can find other heath issues. My doctor has found indicators of tumors, diabetes, high blood pressure, cholestrol, etc in Many patients who didnt know they had problems. It has literally saves two childrens lives who turned out to have cancer, several who were on the verge of a stroke or didnt know they had diabetes!

Do you have Autumn colors yet?

It is still warm in my neck of the woods. Today at FOSTV our challenge is to use Autumn Colors. I have used a Martha Steward punch for the bottom and lined it with black to show up. The burgandy was cut with a Spellbinder Fancy Oval and the sentiment cut with a Spellbinder Fancy Tag. The large leaves were punched with a Marvy Maple Leaf and embossed with a Stampin Up folder. The small leaves were cut with Spellbinder and embossed also. A quick simple card but I like the colors. Hope you all pop over to join the fun this week.

My early birthday/ Christmas gift was a ticket to visit my youngest daughter and family so and I  just returned a few hours ago from a Fabulous visit. It has been a long three years since I have seen them so this was a real treat and added to that, they live in Hawaii so I was double blessed!!

Albums....

One of my favorite things to make. This week at TTSTV it's my turn to bring the tutorial. I call them fan fold albums and you can find the instructions here. The fun part about these albums is the fan attachment allows them to be chunky and still lay pretty flat
You can make as many pages as you want, just making sure to adjust the amount of folds.

UGH...Having trouble with lighting!! It really looks much better in person with the true colors. Does need a few more embellies but I ran out of steam, will work on it some more later lol!!

The cover was made using a Spellbinder die for the shape with a little dp lace, pearls and stitching. I love the new Roses image, beautiful and fun to color! I stamped and cut two of the larger and one small, then nestled them together and popped two up for some dimension.
I embellished each page with dps, stamps, paste, ink, lace etc.

For the inside cover I used the  flowers from the Coneflower Set, sentiment from the Huge Blossom Set and under the flap I used the peacock image from the Be A ShowOff Set and sentiment from the Family Set.

Pg 1  Used the image and sentiment from the Tiger Lily Set

Pg 2 Used images from the Friends Set and sentiment from the Today Tomorrow and Always Set

Pg 3   Used the the Hydrangea Set Image Set and the sentiment from the Welcome Poppies Set

Pg 4 Used the Keys Set and sentiment from the Coneflower Set

New Friday Challenge

Here at Tutorial Time on Speedy TV our tutorial is brought to us BARB by this week. It is distressed Stains. Its quick and easy and gives a  nice background to use instead of dps. After using a couple Tim Holtz stains I also used the same folder to emboss for some added dimension. I love the new rose image and Sterling Silver Roses are one of my favorites, so I colored it the lavender and cut it out. A couple of foam dots to pop it up and help it look a little more dimensional too. A different color combo but I like the contrast. So pop over and check out Barb's tutorial and give this one a try!

Friends of Speedy TV

Our new Challenge is to make a Joy Fold Card.
There are lots of tutorials out there if you dont know how to make one.
They are easy and so versatile. For mine I went with the aqua/turquoise
colors for my dps. I also used a SU embossing folder for the white inside
pieces. I used the flowers from the Camellia Set through out the card.
The hummer is from the Hum Along Set.
A couple stacked buttons for the closure and its done.
Easy and fun to do!

Here what it looks like opened up.
My teammates have some beautiful examples for you this week,
come by for a visit and join us in
the challenge.
