TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV

Today our  TTSTV CHALLENGE  is to make a Magic Slider Card.
The tutorial is brought to us by Lagene. This one is a little involved but makes
a very cool card. I couldnt get my video to work and thats really what you
need to get the full effect of the "magic".
When the stamped image is pulled up it turns to color. I used the
pansies Today Tomorrow and Always Set.
After stamping and coloring my images I did the assembly, which
you can find HERE. It seemed so plain so I added the strips
and pearls down the sides and on the pull tab.

The sentiment was punched dotted with tiny pearls
and the sentiment from the what else but Just A Note Set!
Here you can see it as you start to pull and the color begins
to appear.

Now you can see the image in full color. This was a fun card
to make, so stop by and check out Lagenes very detailed
Tutorial. We would love to have you join the fun this week!

FRIENDS OF SPEEDY TV #

Our Monday FOSTV Challenge is to use metal...and the challenge was what metal
and how to use it! I decided to make a flower using metal screening and brad
center. My sweet friend Martha sends me care packages every few months
and this time it was filled with a whole stack of embossed papers, some
folders, jewels, stamps, a copic marker and a few other goodies. This is one
of the pretty embossed folders I added some yellow and orange chalk to.
The creme is a cut with a Spellbinder as is the brown border.
The teacup from the Relax A Bit set was stamped on some dotted dp and then
colored and cut out. All the edges were distressed.
The sentiment is  also from the Relax A Bit set.
All the Stamp Sets and other stamping goodies are
available at MFP a Heinrich Co. Store. Lots of
possibilities with the metal so stop by and join the fun!

This is off the subject but after such a wonderful weekend Just had to share this pic of my mom she turned 85 on Sat and my little sis, niece and my oldest daughter were able to come home for it . My middle sis and her daughter live here. We took mom up river to shop and then surprised her with dinner at the Samurai Steak House where they cook at the table. She tried all kinds of sushi,
was treated like a queen thru out the meal  including
a birthday cheesecake and had so much fun!

We all spent the entire weekend together just being girls, laughing till
our stomachs hurt, ate too much, slept very little but what a treat it was to all be together!
The only thing that could have made it better was for my youngest daughter
to have been able to come, but not so easy to come all the way
from Virginia for a weekend!

TUTORIAL TIME ON SPEEDY TV #

Today the TTSTV Challenge is brought to us by Ginny and it is
a Stained Glass Technique. I had planned to use some yellow
and red, a different image  but just couldnt make it work. I finally
threw it all away and started over, do you ever do that. The vellum
really does mute the colors so you need to start with something
that is quite colorful then see how it looks with the vellum over it.
I decided to use a more open image and the
Dogwood Image seemed to be the ticket. I
stamped it on vellum with some Momento Ink.
After it dried I cut it with a Spellbinder Label 8.
I used to do a lot of stained glass work, mostly windows and doors.
I wanted to make it look more real so I
added came lines around the image.I found a dp that  had
a nice tie dyed look, worked pretty well for the stained glass
effect. I also cut it with a Spellbinder Label 8. Matted on black,
lavender black. I cut out some decorative corners with a
little die I'm not sure who makes it.You know how stained
glass windows sometimes have wrought iron
decorations  around them. That was my intent with the corners.
.Stop on over and join our Challenge this week, Winner takes home a great stamp set.

TUESDAY THROWDOWN TEAM B

Good Morning, Happy Tuesday to you all!  Today is the day for another TT Challenge
. This week it is to use your scraps. If you are like me I have a giant box of scraps
but I had a struggle trying to do this one, how crazy it that!! It seemed nothing
quite fit together as I wanted it to lol. Our sponsor is Digital Delights and
my image is called Flower Power Daffy. So I had two pieces of bright pink
I put together and embossed them for the base. I had a little strip of
stripped dp, really can you believe I saved that little strip! Well it became
the perfect piece to cover the seam on the pink. I had a little scrap of
lavender not big enough to cut a whole square because of the way it
was angled but could get two halves. I used a Spellbinder decorative
square to cut those out with a piece of green and that was enough to
decorate the corners. I added a little string of pearls to finish the
edges and the sentiment was punched with SU punches.
Viola its done. We would be delighted to see you stop
by and join out team in the challenge this week!

For our TTSTV Challenge this week Lis has these cute little tip holders.
Quick easy and a fun way to thank your server. I was thinking if
you frequent your favorite eatery and have a favorite server
 or for  your hairdresser you
could even include a gift card from Starbucks etc.
I used the image from the Amaryllis Definition Set.
The striped dp is SU and the corner punch is EK Success.
The sentiments was stamped from the Welcome Poppiesset and inserted.
The little pocket will hold your tip and anything else you
would want to add.

on the mat she is added to. Using a Spellbinder Scalloped Border die
I cut three layers and glittered the tops for waves. The angel fish is also
from the same OH Crab set, colored, glittered and cut out.

TUTORIAL TIME WITH SPEEDY TV #60

Todays TTSTV Challenge is brought to us by Thrifty Stamper!
It is make your own snow. It is made by shredding styrofoam. I used
the type of styrofoam that is compressed beads and trust me you will
make lots of beads but most of them will be stuck on you instead
of the card. I did try the dryer sheets to help cut down on the
stickiness but honestly it didnt seems to be to effective.
I shredded mine in a large plastic bag and it did help to keep
it contained.Once you get them on the card they do make some cool
snow.I was determined to use the beautiful cardinal but the snow
doesnt show very well. I should have used the image so the snow
would shown on the ground cutting my image out with the
Spellbinder Scalloped circle I colored it and then applied the
"snow" with glue, and matted on the plaid.
The little tabs were cut out of a SU Christmas print and stitched on.
The little red strip was the negative left from a Spellbinder
border die.The sentiment was cut with a SU punch and
foam dotted on. You will find my
Christmas Cardinal  image at MFP a Heinrich Co.
